Ok, it’s time to offer some updates for you guys for latest happenings. Unfortunately, most of my classes were cancelled for this week so I had plenty of time to check out Hong Kong in touristic point of view. At Wednesday night we went out with couple of friends to have few pints and decided to spent next day exploring the Hong Kong island more closely. In the end there were three of us in the expedition tour me , my roommate David and a other French dude Nicolas. So we moved to the HK island by using underground.

Somewhere in Hon Kong island.

We spent few hours just walking down the Hong Kong streets and after couple of hours wandering we decided to take look maybe the worst tourist place in the island called the Peak. As smartest of you can already think, the Peak is in located in the hill just behind Hong Kong skyscrapers. The most convenient and best know way to go there is to take a peak tram. There were lots of tourist already in the ticket down hill tickets office. Peak  tram is quite expensive if you compare it to the public transportation modes. Return ticket cost 48HK$(~5€), so in the end it still didn’t crash my budget J. The tram trip was quite interesting, coz the tram is the hill is really steep in some points and the tram is going almost in 45 degree angle. Anyway, when we hit the peak I wasn’t expecting that there is a huge shopping mall in there which you need to go around to get in the viewing deck. Good way to rip off the every possible penny from the stupid tourist. When we finally got in the deck, happens what so often happens with my kind of bad luck. Somehow like from nowhere there was clouds coming to block the best possible view. What a pity..!!

Three fearless explorers, me, Nico and David.

After a team discussion we came to conclusion that we should wait until it’s getting dark see the city with it’s night lighting. Coz there was couple of hours time before dusk, we went to take a look next by nature reserve. After maybe half an hour walk we realized that the route was going all the time downhill and not round the peak as we thought in the first place. So, it was time to turn around and go back, but now we have to climb up hill. Well, little exercise is always good for me, right?

Something  it's just not fitting in...

When we reached the hill it was already dark, so now it was time to see city in with it’s magnificent night lighting. I think there was so enough lights to feed up one nuclear power plant electricity manufacturing. Thought it’s not too ‘green’ thinking the view was still quite breathtaking.

Thumbs up for ferry ride !

After punch of photos it was time to take a tram back to the city. Just for the change we decided to take ferry back to Kowloon and Hung Hom, where the student hall is situated. I was quite tired after the day and headed to bed quite early.
